Windows 7 (what i hope is) a simple Update question

so, is there a way to make Update ignore any and all updates for Office?
never will use it and i'm on dialup, so downloading them sucks up a lot of precious banwidth.
i don't even know why it thinks i have it. all i have is a trial that was pre-installed on my laptop.
is it a matter of just uninstalling it?

If you installed an update, you would need to uninstall the update. In the add and remove programs, choose to show updates so you can see them.

When Windows wants to update, you can NOT enable an update that you don't want and Windows will ask you if you want to hide those updates from further update reminders.
