So I just got a brand new computer and hooked it up to my HDTV but the sides of my screen are cut off. I need help finding out how to fix this.

Here's a pic:

Hello and welcome to Windows7Forums.com :)

Check your TV to ensure the screen is not stretched out of native aspect ratio, zoomed or cropped. As another member suggested above, UPDATE your graphics drivers, you can do this from here for AMD drivers Link Removed and here for nVidia drivers: Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers Also, how big is your TV and what ratios does it support? 1280x720 tells me it's smaller than 50' and only supports 720 resolutions. See if 1360*720 or something similar is available.

Try download/getting NVIDIA control software.

I was thinking about that but didn't know if it was possible with TV's as it is with monitors.

It should be on most modern TVs :)
