I have a Windows 7 Professional 64bit PC that I built a month ago. I have yet to purchase a wireless adapter. I have a WRT350 N Linksys Router that is on the first floor of my house (my computer is on the second floor and a few feet away).
What is your opinion on this wireless card?

Newegg.com - LINKSYS WMP600N IEEE 802.11a/b/g, IEEE 802.11n Draft 2.0 PCI Wireless Adapter with Dual-Band WEP, WPA & WPA2 Personal, WPA & WPA2 Enterprise - Wireless Adapters

Solution
According to this Windows 7 Compatibility Linksys Linksys Wireless-N PCI Adapter with Dual-Band Wireless Network Adapter the adapter is compatible with both 32 and 64bit versions of Windows 7. And according to this Windows 7 Compatibility Linksys Linksys Gigabit w/Storage Link 802.11n 4Port Wireless Router the router is likewise compatible. Haven't actually used either of them so I don't have an opinion, but it looks like you're off to a good start and heading in the right direction. Let us know how it works
