Windows 7 Win7 doesn't recognise my monitor

Hi for all,

I've bought a brand new computer (ASUS M4A79XTDEVO/USB3, AMD Phenom II X6 T1100, ASUS HD6950) and I installed Win7 Ultimate 64 bit. My monitor is an ASUS VW221D and Win7 recognise it as "Generic non PnP". Any idea?

Did a CD come with the monitor?

I think you got the driver problem.You should also try to reinstall the os.

Can you (still) select or are you given as (Recommended) the resolution that matches w/ the monitor can do, optimally?
