Hi,

for some reason today I signed in as usual & it boots in a black empty screen with a small window saying " Win explorer is not responding".

in CTRL-ALT DEL I choose change user to "Administrator" & it boots OK.

On this user I do not have all my usual progs & dada.

Any way to recover this situation? ....thanx ....nick

Hi Nichos,
have you recently installed new updates or software? You could always try system restore found by opeing the run app type in sysdm.cpl and press Enter. Look for System protection along the top and then System restore.

SOLVED

Thanx,

When this happened a security program appeared (Reilaxxx?? something) sayng my PC is corrupt.
I checked in cntrl panel & found it there so Uninstalled it.
Then scanned PC with my free AVG.
Then booted in Safe mode & came out.
Rebooted & it found my usual User.
Still not sure how the problem went away but, feel very luckyyyyyy. .......nick
