I experienced this problem soon after upgrading from vista to windows 7. When i leave the computer until it goes into screen saver and then come back a few minutes later, my personalized window color will change into a pale blue color soon after waking the computer from the screen saver. The screen will flash a couple of times and then the change will happen. I am then unable to change the pale blue window color back to my personalized color until i restart or shut of my PC. My background however is still the same. When i attempt to change this ugly pale blue color by clicking on the "Window Color" option in personalization, the "Advanced appearance settings..." window pops up instead.

Any suggestions? Thx!

Ensure that the settings for sleep mode and screen savers are properly configured. 3. Reset Window Color Settings: - Try resetting your window color settings to default and then customize them again. To do this, go to Control Panel > Personalization > Window Color and Appearance. Click on 'Open classic appearance properties for more color options' and reset to the default theme. 4. Check for Graphics Driver Updates: - Update your graphics driver to the latest version. Outdated graphics drivers can sometimes cause display issues. 5. Run System File Checker (SFC): - Run the System File Checker tool to scan for and repair corrupted system files. Open a command prompt as an administrator and type sfc /scannow. 6. Disable and Re-enable Screen Saver: - Try disabling the screen saver temporarily to see if the issue persists. If it does not occur without the screen saver, try using a different screen saver or adjust the settings. 7. System Restore: - If the issue started after a specific change or software installation, consider using System Restore to revert your system to a point before the problem occurred. 8. Third-Party Software Conflict: - Sometimes third-party software can interfere with system settings. Try disabling any recently installed software to see if it resolves the issue. If none of the above steps resolve the problem, please provide more details about your system configuration, recent changes, or any error messages you might have encountered for further assistance.
