The article says do not delete esd files. You may not see these, as they are only present during an upgrade/update. But good advice.
For a quick cleanup, I choose
1. Temprary Internet Files
2. System related Error reports. (These are, in any event, recreated)
3. DirectX Shader Cache (If you have it)
4. Recycle Bin
5.Temporary Files
6. Thumbnails.
And that is all!
From time to time, I run the clean up tool as Administrator, and select everything. But, I must warn, that I always have a preceding image made (I use Acronis, but there are several good image makers , free)
To date, fingers crossed, I have never had a mishap or a need for the image.
