The very top bar that appears when Edge is open "collects" all sites I have been to during the session. Is there any way to turn this behavior OFF? I would like a way to return to the first site I visit. There are many sites that do not provide a way back to the previous site without re-starting edge. But, to add every site I visit ends up with a lot of tiny useless windows

Thanks for any help.

Regards, Jim

To address the issue with the browsing history being displayed at the top bar in Microsoft Edge, here are the steps you can take to customize this behavior: 1. Clear Browsing Data: - Start by clearing your browsing history to remove the sites shown in the top bar. - Click on the three dots in the upper-right corner of Edge. - Go to "History" and then click on "Clear browsing data." - Choose the time range and the data you want to clear, then select "Clear now." 2. Disable Open Tabs from Appearing in Top Bar: - Open Microsoft Edge. - Click on the three dots (More actions) at the top right. - Go to "Settings" and navigate to "Appearance." - Toggle off "Show sites visited as top sites" under the Top sites section. 3. Change the Home Page: - Consider setting your homepage to the website you generally start with. This way, upon opening Edge, you will be directed to your preferred homepage. 4. Start Fresh with a New Window: - Close all existing browser windows and open a new one to start browsing with a clean slate. By following these steps, you can limit the history displayed at the top bar in Microsoft Edge and have a more tailored browsing experience.
