Microsoft is introducing a new customization feature in Windows 11 that allows users to adjust the on-screen position of system indicators such as volume, brightness, virtual desktops, and camera controls. This enhancement, currently available in preview builds, offers users the flexibility to choose between the bottom center (default), top left, or top center positions for these indicators. This development was highlighted by @phantomofearth on X (formerly Twitter), showcasing the ability to reposition on-screen indicators to the top left or top center, reminiscent of their placement in Windows 10.
To access this feature, navigate to Settings > System > Notifications > Position of on-screen indicators. While Microsoft has yet to officially announce this functionality, it is anticipated that additional details will be provided in forthcoming updates. In the meantime, Microsoft has confirmed the introduction of a new adaptive power saver mode for tablets and laptops, which is expected to be available to Windows Insiders soon.
This update reflects Microsoft's ongoing commitment to enhancing user experience by providing greater personalization options within the Windows 11 operating system.
