Windows 11 is set to enhance user customization with the upcoming 25H2 update, introducing the ability to reposition on-screen indicators for volume and brightness. This feature allows users to choose between three placement options: bottom center (default), top left, and top center. The top left option mirrors the placement from Windows 10, offering familiarity for long-time users. This change addresses user feedback regarding the fixed position of these indicators since Windows 11's initial release in 2021. The limitation of placement options is likely to prevent overlap with core interface elements like the Start menu. This update reflects Microsoft's ongoing commitment to enhancing personalization in Windows 11.
