  • General: Minor general improvements and fixes for a better experience.
  • Administrator Protection: Fixed issue preventing the Xbox app (and sometimes others) from launching when administrator protection was enabled, causing errors like 0xC0000142 or 0xC0000045.
  • Settings: Fixed missing battery percentage display at the top of System > Power & Battery.
  • Remote Desktop: Fixed extreme graphical distortion and rendering issues when using Remote Desktop on Arm64 PCs.
  • Other Fixes:
  • Fixed a high-frequency crash involving pcasvc.dll.
  • Fixed issue where Media Player would still show disconnect option even after casting device was disconnected externally.
  • Fixed Remote Credential Guard scenarios failing between latest Windows 11 builds and Server 2022 (and below).

Known Issues

  • General:
  • COPILOT+ PCs: If you join Canary Channel from Dev/Release/retail, you may lose Windows Hello PIN/biometric login (error 0xd0000225, PIN unavailable); you can recreate your PIN by selecting "Set up my PIN."
  • Some users may face repeated bugchecks (crashes) with KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE, often when connecting to VPN after upgrade.
  • This build will play the Windows Vista boot sound as a placeholder; Windows 11 sound will return in future builds.
  • Settings:
  • Settings app may crash when interacting with options under Settings > System > Power & Battery.
  • Apostrophes in Settings and dialogs may display as random characters.

No Major New Features

This build does not introduce new features—its focus is on bug fixes and reliability improvements. The fix for the known boot sound issue and other remaining problems is expected in a future Canary build.
If you are experimenting with this build and have a COPILOT+ PC, be extra careful about PIN/biometric sign-in issues, and be aware of potential VPN-related crashes after upgrading.
If you need further details or want to check user feedback, let me know—no major bug reports have surfaced yet for this specific build on the Windows community forums.
