Windows 2000 error - help me please

My friend uses Windows 2000. yesterday he came to me and discussed about his problem.
He has got an error message [FONT=Palatino Linotype, serif]" Stop 0x00000024" in his PC.

I tried to resolve the issue but failed to get the reason behind it.
I doubt if all his data will become inaccessible. Please suggest me the solution of this problem.
