Windows 7 Windows 7 64 bit issues with eSATA

I have not found anything on this subject so I hope someone can help. Originally had a Dell XPS 420 with 32 bit Vista and eSATA worked great. I recently installed clean 64 bit Windows 7. Everything went smooth - all is great except for eSATA. I downloaded the 64 bit version of Matrix Manager from Dell support (R173416.exe) and when I tried to install it I get an error that says "Option not supported". I then went to Intel site and downloaded the 64 bit Windows Vista/7 driver (IATA89ENU.exe) and tried to install it. I got an error that said "Computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software". So now I have a PC running 64 bit Windows 7 and cannot get the new drivers loaded. When I go into the BIOS and turn "Raid On" it gets past the Disk Matrix Manager screen but as soon as it hits the Windows screen it locks up and reboots. I have the latest bios version from Dell (AO7). My 1TB Seagate Pro will work on USB but I miss the SATA speed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
