Windows 7 windows 7 and aim

i can't make the bar go away, i click close window but nothing happens. i don't want to exit the program, because i want the little icon to stay.

then, you see the little internet icon there, how can i change the aim tab to look like that icon? i rather have a little icon than the tab.
