Windows 7 windows 7 start orb hover not working

using Windows 7 Start Button Changer v 2.6 on my second laptop that i just bought and cant get the orb to change when hovering or clicked it just stays the same in all modes. works fine on my first p.c. can any one advise plz?

I strongly recommend you not use this "hack". It seems to me that it tries to change explorer.exe and replace the windows shell with the graphic resource for the start orb modified. This is NOT good practice at all!!! While changing your shell experience from explorer.exe to something else is common, patching explorer.exe and making Vista/7 just work with it is not good practice. If MS ever issues a windows update that tries to patch your explorer.exe you're going to get a system that hangs at the desktop and doesn't fully load. Any program that modifies Explorer has the potential to leave your system unstable. I recommend ditch the Orb modification program and look for a Windows shell replacement program if you don't like the look of it.
