Windows 7 Windows 7 Sticker blury

Hello guys, I'm working on a friends laptop and here is the problem i have.
He gave it to somebody else to fix and they installed a win7 ultimate copy and it was not validated (since it was a pirated copy)
and the person deleted the recovery partition. Now the sticker is all blury and most letters can't be read (P, B, R, F look similar)

any ideas?

M$ want 100 bucks for a new key.

please tell ure friend to fork out the 100 bucks if thats the cost of a windows key..,you shud only buy legit copies of windows anyway??

if you want to discuss cracking windows of bypassing the key then you WILL get banned quicker than entering the serial key.

I would try and recover the deleted recovery partition - if it has simply been deleted and not overwritten something like ZAR:
