Hi everybody,
I was working on my computer security permission, and now I ended up with zero permission on most folder. I could not access control panel as it pop up "Restrictions- This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Pls contact your system administrator".
Then I tried right click on the desktop --> personalized, i got the same error.
I checked the security properties of my windows folder and i noticed,
The user:
CREATOR OWNER, SYSTEM, Administrators, USERS, TRUSTED INSTALLER, does not have the Allow permissions checked anywhere. I tried running in safe mode and still could not get to check the permissions.
I tried changing the permission in the Advanced Security Settings, I made the administrators and users to full control, and hit apply.
Here i get another error:
"An error occurred while applying security information to:
c:\windows\avastSS.scr" access is denied. And many more other files.
What should I do now?
Hope to hear from windows experts. Maybe I can do something with the registry?
Thanks!
