I installed good ol' (new) 7 and did a Custom install on a partition (because upgrading wouldn't work :), but ever since after the update I installed I had this problem of not being able to boot Windows XP OR Windows 7, only now Windows 7 shows up. I could go to XP before I installed the update, should I uninstall the update and try it again or am I just left here to die and suffer till I can find (buy in other words) a Windows XP Media Center disc?

interesting. You will most likely need to to use bcedit to edit the boot file and add the operating system to it.
