Windows 7 Windows 7 vs. Windows XP

I installed good ol' (new) 7 and did a Custom install on a partition (because upgrading wouldn't work , but ever since after the update I installed I had this problem of not being able to boot Windows XP OR Windows 7, only now Windows 7 shows up. I could go to XP before I installed the update, should I uninstall the update and try it again or am I just left here to die and suffer till I can find (buy in other words) a Windows XP Media Center disc?

interesting. You will most likely need to to use bcedit to edit the boot file and add the operating system to it.

It says Access Denied when I try running it.
