I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and my fps is terrible, to the point of not being able to play, in or out of major cities. Currently i am running the lowest resolution and settings and it seems to not really change anything (except minimally; 2-3 fps faster than my previous settings that ive raided at for 2+ years). Are there any fixes for this? Below is my dxdiag, any help is appreciated. Email/post questions or more info needed.

Solution
It seems like the performance issue you are facing is related to the hardware specifications of your system and potentially the graphics card. Based on the information provided in your dxdiag report, here are a few reasons why you might be experiencing low FPS and some possible solutions: 1. System Specifications: - Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ is an older processor, and it might struggle with modern games that have higher CPU demands. - Memory: Having 3GB of RAM might also limit the performance, especially for newer games that require more memory. 2. Graphics Card: - NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430: This is an old integrated graphics card that is not designed for gaming, especially for more recent...
It seems like the performance issue you are facing is related to the hardware specifications of your system and potentially the graphics card. System Specifications: - Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ is an older processor, and it might struggle with modern games that have higher CPU demands. - Memory: Having 3GB of RAM might also limit the performance, especially for newer games that require more memory. 2. Graphics Card: - NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430: This is an old integrated graphics card that is not designed for gaming, especially for more recent titles. It has only 1065 MB of shared memory. Possible Fixes and Recommendations: 1. Lower Graphics Settings: - Since you mentioned you are already running on the lowest resolution and settings, there might not be much room for improvement in this aspect. 2. Update Graphics Drivers: - Ensure you have the latest drivers for your NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE installed. Updated drivers can sometimes improve performance. 3. Upgrade Hardware: - Consider upgrading your system hardware, especially the graphics card. A more modern and dedicated GPU will significantly improve gaming performance. - Increasing your RAM to 4GB or higher could also help with smoother gameplay. 4. Check for Background Processes: - Make sure there are no unnecessary background processes consuming system resources while gaming. 5. Optimize Game Settings: - In addition to lowering in-game settings, check if there are any specific settings within the game that can be adjusted for better performance. Given the limitations of your current system, the best long-term solution would be to consider upgrading to a more modern system with better hardware specifications, especially if you are looking to play newer and more demanding games.
