Hi all,

Since today i'm new with windows7 ultimate x64, i had XP pro x86.

I had my xbox running as a mediaplayer (with XBMC), I all configured it today in windows 7, but it doesn't work... Xbox keeps asking for username and password (in XP it was not needed).

I checked the advanced options with shared networking. 'using password' is off.

PC (workgroup)
LAN: 192.168.0.1
SUB:255.255.255.0
STNDGTWY: -

XBOX (workgroup)
LAN: 192.168.0.3
SUB: 255.255.255.0
STNDGTWY: 192.168.0.1

On the XBOX i can see the PC in workgroup, but I can't acces it. Does anyone know why?

I did the following:

1.) I discovered my win7 PC was configured with Homegroup and only win7 computers can connect with the Homegroup-function, so I switched it off. I went to the good old Workgroup networking.

2.) I checked the configuration of the LAN adapter - all was configured to share files

My Xbox sees my PC, but I have to use a LOGIN and PASSWORD (never saw this with XP). What kind of login and password do I need?

Kind Regards,
Alfie
