I have been using Windows 8 64-bit Build 9200 (RTM) on a standard laptop device for about 3 or 4 weeks and everything has been working great!
Not sure when it happened, but this morning I noticed that the USB ports were not working...
I changed the hard disk to a Win7 64bit to see if it was a hardware or OS issue, and the USB ports were working perfectly...
Went back to my Win8 and looked at the device manager USB and found all ports had an exclamation, and the following message was on each of them:
I am not sure what happened! -- I know the USB ports were working at some point in the installation and beyond, as I used them to restore data and apps. I also performed a system restore point, but that did not fix the issue.
Before performing a fresh install, I want to ask this community:
1) Has anyone encountered similar issues? What can I do to fix it?
2) Is the a "repair" disk / process for Win8?
Cheers
Jorgen

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source.
