When I run the windows backup it ends prematurely with the message below. I have looked for solutions to this but have found nothing which works.

There can be various reasons why your Windows backup is failing. One common reason is that the backup files you are trying to create are too large and do not fit on the designated destination drive. Another reason could be that the backup folder is corrupted or inaccessible.
Below are some steps to try to resolve the issue:
1. Check the destination drive: First, make sure that the destination drive has enough free space and is accessible. You can try to create a small test backup of a few files to see if the drive is working properly.
2. Disable your antivirus: Sometimes, antivirus software can interfere with the backup process and cause it to fail. To test this, temporarily disable your antivirus software and try running the backup...

3. Check the backup location: Make sure that the backup folder is accessible and not corrupted. If it is, you can try renaming or recreating the folder.
4. Run a System File Checker scan: The System File Checker (SFC) scan checks for any system files that might be missing or corrupted. Open an elevated command prompt and type "sfc /scannow" then hit Enter. Wait while the system file scanner scans up the missing files.
5. Make sure your system is up to date: Ensure all system updates and Windows backup updates are installed.
If none of the above steps work, you can try to troubleshoot the issue using the Event Viewer. Open the Event Viewer and look for any errors related to the backup process. This can give you more information about the issue and help you find a solution.
