Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer

I see it says not with XP 64 bit. Will it work with XP 32 bit being transferred to Win7 & Win8 64 bit?

Has anyone used this and does it work?

Where did you read that it's not for XP 64-bit? There are downloads for 32 & 64 bit XP on this page: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/windows-easy-transfer

I've never actually used this utility but as far as I know it works fine to copy your data and settings to a new computer. It DOESN'T copy or move your programs.

That set of instructions must have been written before they developed the 64-bit version of Easy Transfer: Link Removed

My advice would be to try it, if it works, great, if not, copy the stuff manually.
