Hi all, When I open hotmail from windows live messenger, the page opens from an already open internet explorer web page + a new one with a message saying that the email address or password is incorrect. Does it happen to anyone else here? any solutions? Thanks in advance. pepene.

Solution
It seems like you are experiencing an issue where opening Hotmail from Windows Live Messenger results in a new Internet Explorer web page opening with a message stating that the email address or password is incorrect. This might be a compatibility issue or a configuration problem. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve this issue: 1. Clear Browser Cache: Start by clearing the cache, cookies, and temporary internet files in Internet Explorer. This can help in resolving any temporary issues causing the incorrect login message. 2. Update Internet Explorer: Ensure that your Internet Explorer browser is up to date. Outdated versions of browsers can sometimes cause compatibility issues with certain websites. 3...

Check Compatibility Mode: Sometimes, websites might not work correctly if the browser is in compatibility mode. Disable compatibility mode in Internet Explorer and try logging in again. 4. Check Security Settings: Ensure that the security settings in Internet Explorer are not blocking the login process. Adjust the security settings if necessary to allow access to Hotmail. 5. Verify Credentials: Double-check that the email address and password you are using to log in are correct. Sometimes, small typos can lead to login issues. 6. Reset Internet Explorer Settings: You can reset Internet Explorer settings to default. This can help in resolving any configuration issues causing the problem. 7. Try a Different Browser: If the issue persists, try accessing Hotmail using a different web browser like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to see if the problem is specific to Internet Explorer. 8. Update Windows Live Messenger: Ensure that your Windows Live Messenger is also up to date. An outdated messenger application may have compatibility issues with modern web services. 9. Contact Support: If none of the above steps work, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance in troubleshooting the issue. By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue of the incorrect email address or password message when accessing Hotmail from Windows Live Messenger. Let me know if you need further assistance!
