Windows Vista Windows Media Player Crashs

Hey guys, i just installed Windows 7 a few weeks ago. I can't get Windows Media Player to work. And idk if its related, but whenever i single-click on a .wma media file, the windows explorer crashes as well. However, i can play .wma and all other media files using VLC media player.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can get windows media player to work?
