Windows 7 Windows Media Player help...

hello,
this is my problem, when i change settings like srs/wow effects in the wmp 12 and exit wmp 12 the changes i made
doesn't stay the same when i open wmp12 again how can i make the changes in settings stay permanent?
and when i change view settings in the media library and the close wmp12 the settings wont stay \

please help....
