I have an Acer Aspire 8730, and I've been trying to use this USB keyboard with it. This keyboard works fine in my Ubuntu partition, so I know it's not a hardware problem. And I've used two other USB keyboards in Windows 7. But for some reason this one doesn't work in Windows. It's a Dell SK-8115. Windows recognizes it as a Dell Keyboard, but doesn't list it as a keyboard in Device Manager (it lists it in Other), and it doesn't work. It doesn't have a driver for it. Automatic driver update didn't find one (despite me having asked around and having been told that the generic driver should work for this keyboard). There is no Dell driver for this keyboard. Help!

Thanks.

Edit: Of course, I'm connected to the Internet, and Windows Update works.

    ]Using Generic Drivers:
    • Sometimes, generic drivers are compatible with various devices. Try to install a generic USB keyboard driver and see if that works.
  2. Check for Windows Updates:
    • Ensure that your Windows 7 system is fully updated by running Windows Update. It might contain essential driver updates. Let's first check if the drivers for this keyboard are available through Windows Update. Please go to Windows Update and check for any available updates for your system to see if it includes the necessary drivers for your Dell SK-8115 keyboard. Once you've done that, you can also try manually installing a generic USB keyboard driver if the automatic update didn't provide the necessary driver.
