Hi
I am having some problems with windowsupdate. When I click on the update icon the update page shows. But, there are no icons, nothing to click on only a box where the green schield is and a text next to it. The text says " #elementModuleHeaderText# "

Hope that someone can help

[]Run Windows Update Troubleshooter: Windows has built-in troubleshooters that can help fix common problems. You can run the Windows Update troubleshooter to diagnose and resolve issues. []Reset Windows Update Components: Resetting the Windows Update components can sometimes fix update-related issues. This involves stopping services, renaming folders, and restarting services. Here's how you can do it:
    • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
    • Run the following commands one by one:
      Code:
bash net stop wuauserv net stop cryptSvc net stop bits net stop msiserver Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old net start wuauserv net start cryptSvc net start bits net start msiserver
    • After running these commands, restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.
  3. Check for System File Corruption: You can run the System File Checker tool to scan for and repair corrupted system files. Here's how:
    • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
    • Run the command: sfc /scannow
    • Wait for the scan to complete and follow any on-screen instructions to repair the files. If after trying these steps you are still experiencing the issue, it might be helpful to seek further assistance from Microsoft support or community forums for more advanced troubleshooting steps tailored to your specific situation.
