Windows Vista Windows will close the program

Hello:
Im new in this forum and this will be my first question ,

When I want to start my "star defender 3 " game,I get this ERROR:

STAR DEFENDER 3 HAS STOPPED WORKING
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available

I have been playing it in the same computer for long time before,but not now.
Awen(Studio Games) tell me this have to be fix by HP,but HP answed me to call back AWEN.

This issue have consume me many weeks .I have reinstall it more than 20 times.
I have Windows Vista SP1 and Bitdefender Antivirus

Every other games are working find,Please help me ................Thank You

Have you tried the compatibility tab? You can do this by right-clicking on the exe and choosing properties then along the top hit 'compatibility' and then checking the box that says 'run this program in compatibility mode for.....' . Tryrunning it under XP.

YES ,.......I ALREADY CHANGE IT TO COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS XP ...................BUT IT DOES NOT WORK
