I use file sharing with all my data files on my desktop. When my desktop goes to sleep I cannot access my data files from my wireless laptop.

How can I wake up my desktop without going to the desktop and wiggling the mouse?

Solution
If you look in the Device Manager, then the properties for your Network Adapter on the Desktop, it should have an option to "allow the computer to put the device to sleep" and allow this device to wake the computer. Normally, having both of those checked will allow wake-up. If there are additional or different options, use your best judgement.
