Hey guys!!!

here is a short guide about upgrading windows XP to 7:

  1. backup (you would most likely not need it but its a good percussion)
  2. check compatibility (by downloading windows 7 upgrade advisor)
  3. gather all of your cd's (files will be transfered how ever not programs)
  4. if your PC is compatible insert windows 7 cd
  5. when it promts you for installation options click custom (clicking upgrade will fail the installation)
  6. install windows 7 on your XP drive and then go to your C drive and you should see a windows.old folder from there you could transfer all your files to its corresponding folder
  7. reinstall all your software (if you use freeware you might as well get the latest version)
