Hello, recently i faced a strange Language bar behavior with my my new Win 7 Pro.

The problem is that "Traditional Chinese" entry appeared into the Language Bar and i don't know how to remove it.

The entry appears on the bar, but does not appear within the "Text Services and input language" applet from Control Panel.

When i manualy add "Traditional Chinese" from the applet, i can remove it and it dissapears from the bar, too.

But on the first reboot it comes back - i'm going simply mad !

What can be the cause - Proofing Tools 2007, Acrobat 9, Office 2007?

I installed and uninstalled all of these without any luck.

Any ideas, guys?

Thanks.

It seems like you're encountering an issue with the Language Bar on Windows 7 Professional, where the "Traditional Chinese" entry keeps reappearing even after you remove it from the "Text Services and input language" applet in the Control Panel. This kind of behavior can be frustrating, but let's troubleshoot this together. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue: 1. Registry Check: - Check the registry entries related to language settings. Incorrect registry settings can sometimes cause such issues. 2. Language Bar Settings: - Ensure that the Language Bar settings are correctly configured. You can access these settings by right-clicking on the Language Bar and selecting "Settings." 3. Group Policy: - If your computer is part of a domain network, there might be Group Policies affecting the language settings. Check with your system administrator. 4. Check Startup Programs: - Some programs might be adding the Traditional Chinese input language during startup. Check your startup programs to see if any of them are related to this issue. 5. Update Windows and Drivers: - Make sure your Windows 7 Pro is fully updated, including language packs and drivers. 6. Third-Party Software: - It's possible that certain software installations like Proofing Tools 2007, Acrobat 9, or Office 2007 are causing this. Try reinstalling these programs one by one and observing if the issue reoccurs after each installation. 7. System File Checker: - Run the System File Checker tool to scan and repair corrupted system files that may be causing the issue. 8. Language Bar Reset: - You can try resetting the Language Bar settings to default. In the Control Panel, navigate to "Clock, Language, and Region" > "Change keyboards or other input methods" > "Change keyboards" and reset to default settings. If none of these steps resolve the issue, it might be helpful to provide more information about your system configuration, recent software installations, or any recent Windows updates that might have triggered this behavior. This additional information could help in diagnosing the problem more accurately. Feel free to give these suggestions a try, and let me know if you need further assistance or if you have any updates on the issue.
