ok so first of all i have no idea if this is in the right forum so please don't rip me apart if it is. anyway, my friend gave me his old sony vaio laptop for parts coz it wasn't working and i'm trying to turn the cd drive into an external cd drive. anyone know how to do this? i took it into the shop today and apparantly it has a different connector so i can't just do it normally. on the cd drive it says the model number is UJ-852

any help would be much appreciated.
