I came across a vide on JayzTwoCents on how to get more fps in your games without overclocking your video card. A must see video that has good results. Video link:

A totally free way of getting more FPS with an Nvidia card is to go into Services and disable the Nvidia Stream application.

Apologies it seems this loophole has been fixed as of last May.

If it's the video I think it is, it's still sort of overclocking.

It's only changing the power limit and fan speeds, not actually overclocking the video card.
