hi
i wish u help me.

i have a VIA Built-In sound and Yamaha Synthisizer as a PCI card.
both worked on XP and Vista
But not in 7..
what to do ???
plz help me

If 7 compatible drivers are not available, try to install Vista drives on 7 in Vista compatibility mode.

I have that identical motherboard and my built in sound card is a realtek, not via. Are you sure you have the correct drivers installed. Check here and make sure we're talking about the same MoBo ASRock > Products > G31M-S

before i install Win7 i was using the Yamaha Synthesizer but before that i was using VIA HD VT1708S in XP SP3.
also, it's run properly in Vista.
yesterday i download the sound drivers for win7 in motherboard website, in the file there were Realtek and
via both told me there are not compatible devices.

what to do ?

okay,
today i have installed 7 RC and Vista
both are detected my sound cards same as 7.
now what should i do ?
i'm now in XP, the VIA has disappeared!!!
does it because i have putting an external Sound card ????
