I have an HP laptop, which I previously had connected to an external monitor. So I had two monitors that were active and tried to disable one of them. Unfortunately, the one I disabled, was my external monitor, and I can’t find any way to enable it again, I previously used one of the windows screens to disable this monitor, but cannot find anything that allows me to re-enable it .

Solution
Right click on the desktop, select display settings. From there you can select the external monitor and change it from disabled to extend or mirror
