HI,

I am trying to assemble a windows car pc.

TO make and receive phone calls, I was intending on using the Your Phone app.

However, It says my Windows needs an update to work? - to windows 2019 ( May , I think )

I am using Windows ( 2019) LTSC on my windows tablet, as it is much faster and avoids all the app and telemetry garbage.

It only updates the relevant onboard apps, not the windows versions

Has anybody managed to get Your Phone app working on LTSC??

What is the app looking for to determine whether the version is suitable - in case I can add it to my version?

I really don't want to install a ''full'' windows version.

Many Thanks

Your best bet but whether or not it works or defeats the purpose, I don't know.

The app is constantly updated through the walled garden store, so you may run into compatibility problems with the mobile app if that is updated and the store app isn't.

Hi Mike

Appreciate the reply.

Yes, I already have the store installed on my copy of LTSC

It works well - but the Your Phone app for windows says I have to update to another version of windows??

If it doesn't work this way I am looking at using SCRCPY to mirror the phone to the windows tablet and see if I can make phone calls work that way :-)

Cheers
