Hi folks. Been Googling quite a bit and cannot find the practical differences between using two external USB drives as RAID 1 OR as a mirrored Storage Space. Can anyone tell me which is preferred and why?

Thanks!

The resource usage (CPU/memory) and performance are going to be about the same. If you can install one a hardware raid card will outperform both options. In general though a mirror isn't going to increase performance only data availability
