Could someone tell/show me how to change my network wifi from home to public? I have been having issues this week at my college campus. I asked an IT guy on campus the other day and his solution did not involve the 'regular' taskbar wireless settings. He told me that my settings were for home use only.

It's not the wifi itself but the specific connection which is either home or public. When your laptop detects an access point to which you want to connect you will then select the home or public option.

I don't quite understand what u are saying. I watched the IT guy click on some sorta properties that switched it from home to public. Where can I find this on Win 7?

I believe the Commodo Firewall I installed made this switch. Before I installed that program the campus library wifi worked fine. I uninstalled Commodo yesterday hoping that it would go back, it did not.
