Have a Windows 10 notebook and this may not be an OS issue but I write to inquire. Have an online email account and now find that the username now shows the email address instead. Tried to delete, backspace, etc with no effect. Could this be a cache issue? Guidance sought

If it shows your email account you're using an MS account for authentication vs a local account.

Much thanks for the timely reply. I have had the netzero email account for twenty years and have never had this issue until this week. Got a microsoft hotmail email account 5 years ago.
