I tried right click on the desktop > gadget, but no success.

Please help
Thanks
Matt

Solution
Gadgets not available

Try the following:

1. Open Control Panel
2. Click on 'Programs and Features'
3. Click on 'Turn Windows features on and off'
4. Make sure 'Windows Gadget Platform' is ticked. If not, tick it and reboot.

If this item is already ticked, or if after ticking it and rebooting gadgets still do not work don't know what to advise.

For Desktop gadgets UAC must be on (even just at the lowest setting) and right click the desktop and check show desktop icons

If it is ticked, try unticking (uninstall) reboot and the reinstall it.
If that doesn't work,,, nuke and reload.
