📎 AI Summary:
The user initially reports an issue accessing a network computer after changing its name, encountering a credential prompt asking for network credentials. They are unsure whether to enter credentials for the remote computer, their local computer, or the target computer they’re trying to connect to, and seek advice on viewing or changing these credentials. A responder clarifies that the prompt requests credentials for the remote computer and suggests including the computer name in the username to resolve the issue.

I changed the name on one my network computers and now I cannot access. A pop-up asking me for credentials? Top line says; "enter Network Credentials", next line says, "Enter Your Credentials". I have tried most previous passwords that I can recall without success.

So, what is it asking for ?

Network Credentials ? , Credentials for computer I am currently on ? , or credentials for computer I am trying to log on ?

and, How can I view or change any of these credential if needed ?

Solution
It will always been the credentials for the remote computer. If these credentials are local to the computer you usually want to supply the computer name in the user name such as COMPUTER1\USER1
