I was sceptical that my aged XP system with 2 GB ram would update to W8 without problems particularly as my old system used to crash a fair bit. I double backed up in anticipation that everything would be lost. It took a while- two glasses of wine- but it updated without a hitch Amazing. I just have to find how to switch the machine off!!
