Hello,

I'm having some difficult problems installing some programs on my Vista Ultimate PC.

Typically, the installer will hang after a couple of steps, like approving an agreement and destination for install.

Then, it hangs. If I cancel it, it still hangs.

I then go to Taskmanager to kill it. But if I try to install anything else, it tells me it can't because the installer is still running.

This is happening for a bunch of applications. I'm executing the setup program as Administrator.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

It's a bunch of different applications now. SaveasPDF add-in for Microsoft Office. Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor, Vista Codec, Windows Installer Clean-up.

One thing I should mention (I just discovered) is that the installing program eventually times out with a message:

"Installer is no longer responding"
