I have just bought a new computer Aspire 5739G.
Then i discovered that i could only connect to my wireless home network if i are 3 feets from the router.
the same happened when i was as my friend.
The wirered network is working fine...
if i go up to my room(2nd floor) it sais limited connection, but the signal sthrengt is high. if i am lucky i can get 1mbps and connection.
i can see many wireeless spots around the house.
all my other computers are working(xp,vista, leopard).

my router is named: SMC broadband network smcwbrt14t-G

i called acer support and they said that it might be my router or the card.... what do u guys think?

plz help me!!!

Hello and welcome to the windows7forums,

You can check here for the latest drivers for your card:
Link Removed

Look in Device Manager for any entries with a yellow flag

Do you know whether there is a firmware update for your router?

Is this the exact setup you had before instlling Windows 7?

Do you have a router with networked computers or just a single modem?

I'd need to know the exact make and model.
