Hello and welcome to the windows7forums,

Do you receive any error messages. If so, what is the exact error message?

Hit the Win key + R, and type in cmd. Now type ping www.google.com.

Does it say timed out or is there a response?

It could not find the host.

You could try resetting the modem.

Do you have a green light blinking on the Ethernet connection on the back of the Computer?

You can always go to Start > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center and try to first diagnose.

If that fails, try creating a new connection.
