📎 AI Summary:
The original poster is seeking to disable external access to port 80 (HTTP) on their Windows server while retaining access from the internal network, and questions if this is possible through Windows Advanced Firewall. A responder suggests that since inbound connections are NAT'd to the local network, they can configure firewall rules to allow only their internal DHCP range and block other external sources. Overall, the thread discusses network configuration options to restrict HTTP access selectively.

Hi,
i have a need to disable http/80 in for access to the server from outside/internet. It must work for the internal network. Is this even possible to achieve in the windows advanced firewall? I do not have the option to do this in our hardware firewall.

Anything inbound will be NAT'd to your local network range. If you have DHCP range internally you can create an inbound allow for that range only and block it for the rest.
