Here are two good freeware paint apps. They may not be as professional as PhotoShop but they are quite capable for freeware.

• Paint.NET
• Gimp

Thanks, I liked the old XP paint, more controllable. I amy download XP next to 7.

Lack of control is exactly why I don't like Windows Paint. It barely lets you do anything to the picture.

I've used Paint.NET for years, it has a lot of plugins, and I find it easier to use than Gimp --- I've always had problems with the logic of Linux community. Don't know if it's their fault or mine...
