📎 AI Summary:
The thread discusses whether Windows Task Scheduler can prompt before running tasks, with the consensus that there is no built-in feature for pre-task prompts and limited options for customization. The original poster also inquires about securing the scheduler on a shared PC; responses clarify that without admin rights, users cannot interfere with Task Scheduler, but with admin rights, it's difficult to restrict access further. Overall, the discussion concludes that pre-task prompts aren't supported and security depends on user permissions.

Can we set the Task Scheduler so that it prompts before any task is scheduled? How?

There is no built-in feature to prompt before execution of tasks, nor do I know of any product that does that as it wouldn't really make any sense. The task scheduler's purpose is to run tasks triggered by events most often time based. Access to the task scheduler is restricted to administrative users.

My PC is shared by others. Is there any way I can secure the Task Scheduler so that no body interferes with it?

If they have admin rights no you can't. If they have standard accounts than they don't have access to the scheduler
